where is a good place to get an acura cl for under $7,000?
A: I own one and I got it from my local Honda dealer. But besides there, autotrader is a really good place because there are more cars to choose from. Before buying the car you should know this, are you buying it for looks or power. I have the 2.2cl and I love the looks and everything it is just that it lacks a lot of horsepower. The 3.0cl would definitely be the one to get if you enjoy a little more power from a v6. Hope that helps and good luck.
Q: Should I fix dent in trunk of Acura 2003 CL-S and how much should I expect to pay?
I have a dent in the trunk of my 2003 Acura CL-S from backing into a mailbox. I'll [probably be selling the car in about a year. I got one estimate so far to fix the dent for about $1000. I plan to get a few more estimates. Any thoughts on whether it's worth it to get the dent fixed and whether $1000 is reasonable?
A: No...1000 is too much....700 would be better
Q: how do you replace an acura cl digital clock bulb?
I have an 03 Acura CL. The digital clock on the dash usually illuminates the time when I have my headlights turned on. However I believe the light bulb behind the unit has died :( I called Acura service and the cost to replace the bulb plus the labor was a ridiculous amount. Does anyone know how I can change out the bulb myself? Apparently the whole dash has to come off to repair one bulb. Please help!
A: if i was you I would take it to a shop or go without the clock. Lot of stuff in there that could go wrong.
Q: How do I turn on the fog lights on a 2002 Acura CL Type-S?
I bought a 2002 Acura CL a few days ago and I noticed that it has fog lights underneath the head lights. I looked all over the manual but I can't find a way to actually turn them on. Does anyone know how to turn it on?
A: Those aren't fog lights, they are called road lamps and use a 5watt bulb. Same as a marker light. They turn on when you turn on the running lights or the headlights. There is no separate switch. Yours just needs new bulbs. I took out the bulbs on mine because they look yellow compared to the HID's, That's why a lot of people get the Piaa's, they match the color of the HIDs.

I Just bought a 98 acura cl, the body is in excellent shape except for the hood that has a dent in it. Im thinking of getting a new hood from but dont really want to pay to have it install so I wanted to know if its difficult to replace the hood or if its worth paying to have it installed.
A: do you know how to use basic tools? Like wrentch and ratchet? And know what sizes are? If you know than its easy.

A: ECU fuses are usually located under the bonnet, have a look under there and there should be a diagram on the fuse box telling you which one it is.

A: no supercharger on this model. the type S signifies a sport pkg that comes on the car. aero pkg. some other small ticket items, maybe exhaust and some interior changes. you can search on the net for more deatils on the differences.
Q: where is the transmission pan located on 99 acura cl?
I have a 1999 acura cl, and the transmission is slipping, The car was put on a lift, and we can't locate a pan for the transmission. Is this transmission even servicable
A: It doesn't have a pan. The only service you can do is to drain and flush the fluid. There is a filter but the transmission has to be removed and disassembled to replace it.
Changing the fluid may solve the problem, if it's old, low or burnt, it could cause slipping. Use only Honda or Acura fluid.

Where is the data link connector in a 1998 Acura CL 3.0L? I have the system scanner to get the codes but I can't seem to find the port. Any ideas?
A: The data link connector is in the dash in front of the shifter, 11 o'clock to the lighter
Q: Do I need to replace the timing belt on my Acura Cl?
I recently purchased an 01 Cl with 110,000 miles. There were no records of any repairs done. I have friends who have had to replace their engine because of snapped timing belts. Is there an urgency to have mine replaced? Is it expensive? Thanks.
A: compared to replacing an engine, the timing belt is a cheap fix... it's maintenance and recommended by the manufacture.
Q: Can I get someone to look up an Acura CL radio security code for me?
I had to change my wifes battery, and since we bought the car used, the radio wont work and I don't have to radio security code to get it to work. I called the local Acura Dealer and they won't give it to me unless I bring it down there for them to remove and charge me for labor.

With the HOT new BMW 330 and Infiniti G37 Coupe, Acura really better come correct.

A: Acura will not come out with another CL. Acura only has 4 doors as of now and they will not be competing against those coupe models.
Q: I'm about to look at a 97 Acura Cl with 202k and the windows don;t work, Is 1500 a good price?
I know Acura are supposed to run forever but how much more life so you think I would have left?
A: That price is pretty high. I'd check things like the tires and timing belt to see when they need replacing. If it has almost new tires (still have about 30k miles tread on them) and recent maintenance has been done then I might pay $1500. But I think I'd offer about $800 cash and see if they take it.
Q: Does the 1999 acura CL have the same front bumper/front panels as any other car?
Is the front bumper or the front panels the same as the acura TL for example? or maybe the accord? maybe the 1.6?
A: No. The only cars you can get the fenders or bumpers from are other 1st gen Acura CLs.
Any CL from 1997-1999 will do.
