Q: Hi guys, is 15000 worth for an 2005 Acura EL PREMIUM that has 85kms on it? This is in Toronto, Canada?
A: 85km's for 15000 Canadian...is the front end smashed up? Seriously, that is cheap. Make sure somebody wasn't murdered in the thing! Carfax the hell out of it...but make it fast!
Q: looking to buy a 2005 acura TL...any feedback from somebody who has one would be appreciated...?
i heard the OEM tires (turanza el 42) are terrible and very bad in snow can anybody confirm this? i live in new england and snow is a way of life here...just how bad are the tires? also what kind of gas do you put in? midgrade or premium?
A: I love the TL.
It is a fantastic car!
The tires are ok, snows are fine, but i actually managed to break open a standard tl tire and had to buy a whole new tire! ALthough i'm sure that could happen on any car!
It is a great ride! smooth, quiet and luxurious!
The seats are fantastic, and the butt heaters are amazing.
I use either mid-grade or premium, depending on my mood, and i think premium delivers a much cleaner engine and therefore a healthier car.
I definetly recommend the TL to anyone and it beats so many others cars i have been in.
The resale value goes down only like $1,500 a yearish, so it is a great value.
Definetly look into it, although be sure you can get a good price.
My dad actually bought a new 2008 in June for only $28,600 anything over that for this car is a bit too much.
For snow-You need good mats! Acura actually puts out a line for this car.
Be sure to get black for your normal ones (fabric,) and black snow ones. They protect the carpet wonderfully.
All in all, a great car!
Good Luck!
Q: Acura EL any good......?
I am a college student and I have found an 2005 Acura EL manual transmission with only 35,621 km for only $13,988.00 CAN. The safety of this car seems amazing and it looks nice as-well and it is gas efficient, but I have found out that they have discontinued this model so I was wondering is this car worth buying since it got discontinued? Since it got discontinued doesn't that mean repairing this vehicle would be costly?
A: Make sure to Get the Carfax before you buy it. If it's clean, you got a great car at a great price there. Most drivers don't like manual transmissions because they are lazy but the stick shift is the only way to drive in my book. If you enjoy driving performance and good fuel economy, great reliability and excellent fit and finish, you found a great car.

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - autoinsurance.maclenet.com

A: I have an 07 TL which is almost exactly the same as the 05 and the stock tires are terrible in the snow. I would definitely get snow tires for the winter. As far as gas, I use premium.
