Q: Certified pre-owned Acura RDX w/ SH-AWD?
What year did Acura start offering the "SH" (special handling) feature along with its All Wheel Drive? I'm interested in a certified pre-owned RDX, with low mileage. I found a couple in my area, but Neither one of the (2008) cars mentioned having the "SH" feature. (The RDX is an SUV. SUV = Sports Utility Vehicle). Is it possible that the Special Handling wasn't introduced till 2011??? From what I read, Not ALL RDXs come with the Special Handling (SH) feature. Unless the road-researching author of the article was mistaken..... And thanks - I'm very glad to know that the SH was introduced in 2007! That would seem to raise the likelihood that I'll find one with that feature when I go shopping for a certified, pre-owned, low mileage RDX.

A: Acura's AWD is called Super Handling AWD, SH-AWD for short, and was introduced and came standard on the 2007 RDX, not in 2011. All RDXs has always come standard with SH-AWD, so the cars ads you looked at maybe didn't mention it since it's standard. Edit: I think I know what you're talking about. I bet you've seen articles that say the 2010-2011 RDX comes with FWD, but optional SH-AWD. The two drivetrains were introduced for the refreshed 2010+ RDX. The 2007-2009 never had an option for FWD, all of them came with SH-AWD.
