my acura rl lights, alarm, dash board lights and wiper all come on when it is raining. this happens while the car is parked, turned off and with no one is in it. any help?

Q: Is a 05 Acura RL too much for a Senior in High School?
I am looking at a 2005 Acura RL for $13,995, with 115,000 miles on it. I am 17 years old, 18 in December. My mom has approved but my "father" has not yet. Someone tell me whats the problem. And what would be a good car then for a MALE!
A: Not at all, I remember a guy in HS that drove a 300C, and another that drove an Escalade (probably his parents). 14k isn't a bad deal, but the mileage seems fairly high for that year.
Q: How many miles an ACURA RL good for...?
I am thinking about trading my Acura rl in for another car,but I like the fact that it is paid off. It has 115,000 miles on it. Does anyone know how many miles you can drive these cars without having to replace everything. I would like a reliable car for the next couple of years. What things will I be expecting to replace in the next few miles?
A: On my opinion, if your car is paid off ride it to the ground. So you can get the most of it. A trade in is always bad. If I get 15 years out of one car and I drive it to the car crusher, I can say happy that I got my money worth on it. Just drive it, perform maintenance like it says on the book, do not abuse it and will last you perhaps another 100,000 I have GMs over 100,000 easily. Most cars these days can last you that long even more, with proper care.
Q: Checking a trans on a acura rl?
How can I check a trans on a 2000 acura rl, no check engine lights are on...? The car has 115,000 miles. It is a automatic. When I put it into gear it seems like it will slip a little when I put it into drive and hit the gas. When I easy to take off it does not slip, but if i am in a hurry it will.
A: depends on if if 2.5 or 3.2-if 4 cylinder on the passenger side front of engine comp. under battery area-if v6,driver side under battery area-look for a yellow ring at the outside end of dipstick-in both cases,check with trans warm,engine off
Q: can a acura rl be fitted with a turbocharger?
I have a 1996 acura rl, everything is brand new under hood except for the engine which is still the standard v6 3.5L engine. Does anyone know if this engine can be outfitted with a turbocharger? and/or any other parts you may know of to increase hp in it...ty :)

A: turn key off. hold the trip reset buttin (by the speedo)then turn the key on hold for thee sec that should do it
Q: How to remove a Taillight on passenger side of 1998 Acura RL 3.5?
I am a female and of course I get ripped off alot by mechanics. I found my taillight from another Acura owner and I am tired of paying for mechanics labor. Can I do it myself?
A: You could do it yourself.It's easier if someone else does it,but here you go.Open the trunk and look on the passenger side of the car where the tail light is.Usually there is plastic wing nuts holding the interior cover on,remove them.If there not there,pull back the cover.The tail light is attached to the car with nuts,remove them and pull on the taillight assembly,or push on the studs the nuts were on and remove taillight.Install in reverse.Good luck,it's not that hard,you'll figure it out i just know it.
Q: Is It possible to install a Momo Nero Steering Wheel on my Acura RL?
Being as there are many electronic functions that flow through the current wheel, my standard RL wheel, I was wondering if it is even possible to do.
A: It'll turn the car, but won't be able to control the stereo or cruise control.
Btw, why are you putting a racing steering wheel in a luxury sedan? No offense, but the RL isn't really a sports car, weighing in at 2 tons...

There is no way for me to see this car but If you are uncomfortable and you should be with just taken some ones word that this is a good car,take it to a mechanic that you know or that has a good reputation and have them go over it it is worth the few dollars that they might charge you I would rather spend $100 for the mechanic and not buy a car as to trust some one that I don't know to be right and above board and say everything is good on the car and buy the car and later find that they were not truthful.
Q: Acura RL 97 Alarm system keeps going off on?
Alarm system keeps going off on 1997 Acura RL. Disabled horn to keep from bother neighbors all night, but lights flash and drain battery. How do I diable the alarm system. Car repair guy says he can't do it because of how it's integrated into the electrical system?
Does anyone have any know how do disable it?
A: Until you figure out how to disable the system, I would pull the battery cables off when you park your car. That way nothing is getting a charge to work. Just remember to hook them back on tight in the morning so it will go. I had to do this for a month and forgot a couple of times that I had the cables off. I felt foolish but my car started ok.
Q: My maintainence required light just came on in my 99 Acura RL. What could be the problem?
I just had my oil changed and I replaced the air filter . The car is silent and does not shake at all.
A: take it and have the computer scanned on it,this will tell you what made the light come on,it may just need to be re-set,i have seen several cars have the light come on after having the service done ,they can erase it and it should stay off,if not it will give a trouble code for the problem,good luck with it.
Q: Is it safe to use a used lower control arm on on an 1999 Acura RL?
Regular part cost over $300 however many used parts stores have this part availalble and say it has been tested. I dont want to spend $300 for this part.
A: When it comes to safety, better to spend the extra money. Used parts are visually inspected at best. An accident will cost much more.
Q: How do I manually shut my moon roof to my 1998 Acura RL?
Something malfunctioned and now I cant close my moon roof. If you know a way I can manually close my moon roof that would be great.
A: If Acura has common sense, like Audi, there should be a manual crank in the area where the switch is.
Q: if i put the recomended Amsoil ATF in a 2000 Acura RL transmission would it damage the transmission?
i really really like how smooth the RL became when i put amsoil engine oil in it. so i want to put the amsoil atf that is for honda which is the Z1. i called the dealership and they said that amsoil atf would damage the tanny! IS THIS TRUE OR JUST A SCAM?
A: I don't know if it will damage it, but Honda transmissions don't work smoothly with much of anything besides Honda lubricants. You can put Dexron in the Honda auto transmission, for example, but it will shift roughly. You can put 30 W engine oil in a Honda manual gearbox but it will be balky. People report Redline lubricants work as well as the Honda ones, but nothing else is known to work well.
Q: I have a 98 Acura RL with timing belt and plugs just installed but now it runs rough?
the mechanic can't explain it but it runs like it is cold with the engine missing. What could the issue be?
A: The first thing i would check is if any plug wires were crossed vacuum line not installed in the proper place, a cracked vacuum hose, but it sounds much more like the timing belt was incorrectly installed, 1 flat off on the crank or cam pulleys will cause a problem. i know you don't want to hear it but if the external (what was worked on) isn't the problem, then don't look for ghosts, go to what was disturbed.
