Q: acura rsx?
how much do acura rsx's cost used? from car dealerships..
A: For a good indicator of used car pricing, I check three sources...
Kelly Blue Book
NADA book

Q: Acura RSX ?
Does anyone know if Acura is coming out with the RSX in 2009? Because I know it was discontinued since it was so similar to the New Honda Civic but they said that they might bring it back on the market in 2009...?
A: No, they won't. If they bring it back, it will take at least another 3 years.
Designing and building a new car takes years.
But for now, they do not plan to bring it back.
The Honda Prelude was replaced with the Accord Coupe and they never brought back the prelude.
Q: acura RSX?
is an acura rsx a good starter car for teenagers?
i want one but im hearing people saying things about the transmission...is that problem only for the manual transmission ones?
i am considering getting a automatic one(im not that crazy about manual)...&
i know the 2006 one comes in automatic, but what about the previous years 2002-2005 (excluding the type s)
and if you own one, please tell me about your experiences with this car:)
A: i think the rsx is a great option for teens. its a hatch with a good amount of trunk space, gets good fuel mileage, and is pretty preppy. It also looks awesome. The auto tranny's dont have any known issues and some of the 6 spd type s manual trannies have some known second/third gear issues. i never had issues on mine though.
warning though, insurance is higher than normal for these cars.. quiet a bit higher..
Q: Acura rsx...?
does anyone know where i can get a repair manual for the acura rsx. like the rsx 2002 to 2006 model, type r or type s. and how much would it cost if i were to get one that's in a pretty bad condition, with nearly everything broken, cuz i want to fix it up. oh and how much would the insurance cost. thx alot
RSX aside, anyone know of pre-owned 2002-2004 subaru wrx sti, price and any additional thoughts. thx
A: You can download the entire service manual at http://www.hondahookup.com/manuals/
Q: How can I make my acura rsx type s as fast as possible without ruining the reliability?
How much added hoarse power can a stock acura rsx type s take and how can I maximize this without breaking the back or the engine.
A: I find the cams will give you better horsepower at high revs, but you lose out on lower end torque. Which I find really annoying...as if Honda engines don't suffer from lack of torque already. Not that I wanna do burnouts, but driving around town, or up a steep hill, some more torque would be nice.
Q: What is the exact difference between the engines in the Acura Rsx and Arcura Rsx type S?
They both have 2.0 liter, four-cylinder engine. I know the Type S has more Horsepower. All I hear is that it is "tweaked"
Can one make the Acura Rsx's engine the same as the type S.(By adding to it) what do you have to do?
So what is the best way to make the Rsx's engine more like the Rsx type S?
A: The type S has vtec on both the intake and exhaust side of the valves while the base k20 only has vtec on the intake side. type S also has higher compression pistons than the base. So if u were to try and make the base k20 the same as a type s you'd have to switch internals and switch the base head out for a type s heard.
Q: Is it possible to find an Acura RSX for under 10k used?
I really like the Acura RSX and i want it to be my first car. Is it possible to find one for under 10k?
A: You can find the 2002-2004's for under 10K all day. The 2005-2006's starting around 14K and up depending on condition.
Q: What car should i get a acura rsx type-s 2004 or a mitsubishi eclipse gt 2003?
so the eclipse is $8,995 and has a 3.0 v6. the acura rsx is $9,995 and has a 2.0 v4. im looking for speed, looks and dependabililty. which one should i get?
A: well I would go with the RSX. Its an acura and you just can loose with a car made by honda. There are a lot of aftermarket parts and mods for them as well. The only down side is the RSX is way over priced for what you get. Mitsubishi engines suck.
Q: How much to certify an Acura RSX type S?
There is an 06 acura rsx type s with about 60K miles and the dealership is asking $5000 for the certification. Does this sound too high?
A: Do a background check on the car through like carfax and if it's all good go buy the car without it being certified. I bought my 02 type-s after the warranty was out on it, and so far still no problems. I've had it over 6 months.
Q: is it safe to drive an acura rsx about 1300 miles?
I was wondering if i can drive an acura rsx about 1300 miles (Rhode Island to Florida) without damaging the car.
A: It is if you know how to drive and if the car is not a total piece of crap.
Q: is the acura rsx a cheap car to insure for 16yr old?
Is the acura rsx a cheap car to insure?
A: ok i have a 2003 acura rsx, base model, silver, full coverage, its costing me close to 275 a month and im 20 with a clean record, just to give you an idea. This is not a cheap car to insure by any means. But to correct the other answer, its not considered a sports car, its considered a coupe, but because its acura and has a high theft, theyre not cheap. My full premium is costing me 3000+ a year, its actually more then my monthly car payments, if your only 16 i seriously suggest avoid buying this car, its not worth the money, not to mention your still pretty young, this is not a car you want to total or try and modify and fuck up horribly since the K series motor is still fairly new and not cheap to repair or replace
also to the person who posted after me, they stopped selling the RSX because the civic was cheaper to manufacture, all that happened was the 07 civic SI took the place since the RSX was originally intended for young men aiming at performance cars, everything about the motor is designed for tuning
Q: How much do you think insurance for an Acura RSX would be?
I'm 16 years old and I want to buy an Acura RSX. Does anybody have any idea about how much insurance might be? I live in California.
A: Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the insurance will be high. The insurance will call you a "new motorist"
Grab a phone book and call up 12 places in town. Give them the info. Guesstimate the millage according to the year, say 12,000 a year.
You get discounts for safety features like ABS. Let them know that you are 16 or they assume otherwise. (since the rates would be lower if you've had a license for 3 years I recall.)
The RSX is one of the most expensive cars to insure (3rd Link)
Just get an older integra/civic and enjoy having money to fix up the sound system, gas, dates, etc.
Q: What car is comparable to an Acura RSX Type S?
When it comes to do a trade in privately say three or four years from now, what would be a good choice replacing my Acura RSX type S?
A: Honda Integra Type R (DC5).
Q: Is it possible for an Acura rsx to drift?
Acura rsx is FF, and the driveshaft providing power to the rear wheels,
so is it possible to drift this car?
A: Sure if you were to get it rebuilt into a RWD car. Until then no you cant drift a FWD car.
Q: If I buy a base Acura RSX can I get it supercharged?
Because i was under the impression you could only super charge the s-type. Can you supercharge any car? I have reservations about buying the acura rsx base b/c im afraid I won't be able to make it as fast as I want it and the i cant get the s-type due to the fact that I cant drive stick. but i still love the styling of this cars. Can you make the base RSX have 250-300 horsepower some how?
A: Let me tell you why this is a bad idea.
You can super charge any car with a 'normal' engine. Unless it's something weird like a rotary engine. So you could do it.
But the problem is everything else on the car was designed to work with the engine as it was. The transmission, the brakes, the suspension etc. You are going to have to replace these items to get the most out of your super charged engine.
Your next problem is that doing all this will invalidate your insurance. If you wrap your fast new vehicle around a tree and they later find you super charged it, expect them not to pay out. It is usually a condition of insurance that the vehicle be as it left the factory. If you don't tell them about this kind of modification, expect them to revoke your insurance. This could also get you into legal trouble if you are involved in an accident and someone or an insurance company decides to sue you.
When you sell the vehicle or trade it, if the buyer discovers what you have done, they will likely steer well clear of your vehicle. These kind of third party modifications are very unpopular for all of the above reasons. On top of that they will assume that you are a little boy racer and worry that you have thrashed the vehicle to death. They will be worried about long term reliability. All of this will affect your resale values.
Finally if you get a car that still has the warranty on it, this kind of modification will basically void your warranty. So now you are on your own if the vehicle breaks down or has another warranty issue.
My advice is to learn to drive a stick. It's not that hard to do. Learning to drive a stick opens up a whole bunch of cars like the WRX and stuff like that which only comes in a manual.
