Q: Where are the brake wear indicators located on a 2006 Acura RSX?
I have a 2006 Acura RSX (base) and the wear indicators keep making a screeching sound... I have ordered a Brembo kit and it is on its way from california.. So the indicators have done their job and I want to bend them back away from the rotor to stop the sound; however, I cant find them... Does anyone know where they are at or have a picture of where they are located... Please help me the sound is the most annoying thing ever!

Q: What is the difference between the 2006 Acura RSX and Acura RSX Type S?
Is the Type S the only one that has the unique headlights or did they make headlights like that in the regular RSX? Do they both come in manual and automatic?

A: Yes.
The 2006 Acura RSX base has 160HP and goes from 0-60 in 7.1 seconds.
It will beat older and newer Civic's.
The older and newer Civic's both have less than 145HP.
To make it faster, buy a Cold Air Intake which is the cheapest thing you can do. $150-320. This will help with performance and it adds 10-15HP. It also makes you engine sound better.
Performance tires help with faster acceleration, but they also wear out faster and they are bad in rain and in snow.
Q: What are some safe modifications to do to a 2006 acura rsx automatic tranny?
I don't race or anything or blast my car on supermode or whatever but what are some safe changes to do to my rsx?
A: Exterior:I assume you want a show car. In that case get a body kit with a high wing spoiler. 17" rims of your choice. Get a HID kit and fog lights.
Interior: You could get a better head unit and throw in a new amp along with a sub woofer.
Engine: I wouldn't recommend this on an auto but if you want you could get the basic intake/header/exhaust modifications for some minimal power gains.
Handling: Get some springs and associated shocks. Avoid using the stock dampers with after market springs. Replace the rear strut bar with that of Progress for some sweet results.
Q: What kind of radio does the 2006 Acura RSX type S have? Does it have an Ipod port?
I need to know if an ipod port can be added to the radio... those ones you plug into the cigarette lighter have never worked for me!
A: A Bose radio with a CD changer and cassette deck. It does not have an ipod port.
Q: I just got a 2006 Acura RSX Type S and don't know what more to do to make it faster and fast take off?
all it has is an exhaust and an AEM intake system. i was told to put pulleys and headers on there but what do you think? what would make it faster? i what it to take off fast on light to light races. are turbo kits illegal in california? which one you recommend and do you recommend it? HELP!

Q: What rotors do I need for my 2006 Acura RSX-S?
It has the Brembo big-brake kit from Japan (the kind that's stock on Integra Type-R's in Japan) and my rotors are warped so I need new ones. The previous owner put the wrong kind of rotors on the car and I need the right ones. People have been saying stock S2000 rotors are the right ones. Is this correct?

does anyone know how to use Sequential Sports Shift gear in an Acura RSX 2006 Automatic; I have no clue how to use it and why its there to begin with.

A: Mike's on track, cdog's way misled...
Indeed cold air induction, performance exhaust, then headers make the most sense, delivering the most bang for your buck.
Exhaust backpressure is a science. Too much robs performance, but none at all will BURN YOUR EXHAUST VALVES, Mike! Some backpressure is necessary & desirable. Yes, theoretically, maximum hp would be generated w. a minimal exhaust system. However, such is out of the question for street drivable vehicles, as the noise would be insanely loud.
Q: Does the 2006 Acura RSX have a self-replaceable air filter?
There's nothing about it in the owner's manual.
A: you simply unbolt the top of the big black airbox on the right side of your motor... then take the old filter out and put the new one in... simple as that!
Q: Cassette Player for 2006 Acura RSX?
I know this is Old School but I bought a 2006 Acura RSX and need cassette deck because I still have 100's of cassettes that I love. I see the CD player has an option for tapes and I would rather not go through the dealer cuz they charge too much.
A: Well you could easily go on www.crutchfield.com and get yourself a Cassette deck. Then again it isn't the best option to use cassettes anyways (unless you really gotta play that 1987 mix-tape)
Another option would be to get your tapes transfered to CD. It shouldn't be too hard. Either that or check to see if there is an auxilliary input on that deck (probably not) and you can use your walkman.

A: The base was changed from the original 160 HP to 155 HP in order to meet stricter emission standards.
The Type-S has 201 HP instead of the original 210 HP.

i might be getting a 2006 acura rsx premium model, full load ...5-speed manual, leather, sun roof, bodykit, spoiler, new cdplayer.. has 24000km and is in excellent condition.. i was wondering if anyone could give me some input on this car. i'm paying $20,000. let me know if this is a good investment :) also the guy i'm buying it from is buying out the lease with the money he's getting from me, think that could be a problem?

A: first off it's over priced...(premium ???)
The only thing that you listed that didn't come ON the car new, is the spoiler and 'body kit' (which is 3-4 pieces of plastic) which would have added about $3000. (if done by the dealer)...new car 2005 with add on's, $26,000.
leasing is NOT a good idea (which is why he's getting out from under)
a RSX listed in Consumer Reports (clean)
$16,000 (which says you can probably get it cheaper..)
I'd pass...it's too much money...his fault for leasing.
